School districts are separate governing entities from the city's governing structure. A school district may include parts of several cities. The city address of the home does not mean the house is in a district carrying the city's name. Check with the school district to find out if your home is serviced and where the district boundaries lay. You may be interested in a special type of academic program for your child. Each school system may offer various services, or implement a service differently. Check with the school district and ask if the program/service is available and ask for its curriculum guide and participation requirements. Growing communities also mean growing school systems. As schools are built their enrollment populations are shifted. The school that services a particular neighborhood may change as new schools are built. Bus service may not be offered unless the student lives a specific distance from the school.
